A dental implant is a small titanium fixture inserted into the jawbone, which integrates with the surrounding bone over time to create a stable, lasting foundation. A custom-made crown, bridge, or prosthesis is then secured to the implant, closely replicating the appearance and function of a natural tooth.
All implant procedures are performed by Dr Ajit Nagda at our Charlestown surgery. Dr Nagda collaborates closely with local dental prosthetists and Newcastle-based dental technicians to ensure every patient is completely satisfied with the fit, shade, and appearance of their new teeth. Only premium-quality implant systems are used.
Implant Options
Single Tooth Replacement
A single implant and custom crown restores the appearance and function of one missing tooth. Treatment is completed across several appointments.
Multiple Teeth Replacement
Two or more implants can anchor a fixed bridge, replacing several adjacent missing teeth without removable appliances.
Full Arch Restoration — Implant-Retained Denture
Four or more implants can be placed to securely retain a custom denture, dramatically improving stability, comfort, and chewing function. Particularly effective for the lower arch, which is notoriously difficult to fit with a conventional full denture.

Wisdom Teeth
Wisdom teeth removal is one of the most common dental procedures — and one that causes significant anxiety for many patients, young and old alike. At Newcastle Sleep Dental, we understand this completely, and we are committed to making the experience as calm and comfortable as possible.
Our clinical team takes a conservative approach: removal is only recommended when it is clinically necessary. For straightforward extractions, we offer treatment under IV sedation at our Charlestown facility. More complex cases — including impacted or surgically involved wisdom teeth — may require referral to a specialist oral surgeon under general anaesthetic. Where this is the case, we will arrange the appropriate referral at your consultation.
