Dr Raj de Silva is a proud Novocastrian who completed his Bachelor of Dentistry at the University of Sydney in 1996. He joined Wallsend Dental in 1999 and subsequently became a practice partner. He started Charlestown Dental in 2007 and due to the need to treat patients with severe dental anxiety it has evolved into Newcastle Sleep Dental.
Over the course of his career, Dr de Silva has pursued extensive postgraduate training in cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry — including advanced study with leading cosmetic dental specialists in the United States. He is a regular attendee of national dental conferences and seminars, ensuring his patients benefit from the very latest in dental technology and technique. Dr de Silva’s calm, friendly manner makes him particularly well regarded by anxious patients and nervous teenagers.
